On many Harvest Revival Crusades, the Martins take a team of workers to be part of what God is doing. They have feltl it is important for believers, especially ministers of the gospel to be immersed in a miracle, soul-saving campaign. Putting a team together can be challenging but the Martins believe the rewards make it worth any sacrifice.
You are welcome to join a team. Below are the answers to some of your questions. The Martins cannot tell you what will happen for you, but Larry would like to share what happened to some of our team members in Ethiopia in 2018.
This boy was in the prayer tent for the very ill. He had not eaten in days. He had some type of mental or physical attack that left him all but comatose. One of our team members, Donna Wilson from Katy, Texas was praying for him. Donna was the oldest member of our team and was a bit anxious that we might not let her come along. She was a real blessing and spent lots of time interceding for the trip. She called Pastor Tracy Hodges from Alaska to come help pray for the boy. Tracy said the boy's breathing was so shallow that he actually felt like he died while they were praying. After praying a while, it became necessary to move along to pray for others. Tracy told the boy's mother that he would be praying for him and believed he would be testifying of his healing that night. It looked impossible.
But God!! Sure enough that night the boy was on the platform, totally healed, telling of God's goodness.

Here is his picture with Tracy and Donna.

I recently received this picture of him from Ethiopia. He is still well and still praising God for his healing.

Wouldn't you like to be part of such an incredible team? Read the information and if you still have unanswered questions or want more information, please contact us.
What does it cost?
The cost for team participation in both the Pakistan and Ethiopia Crusades will be $3,000. Click the links below to learn what all that will cover.
If I join the team, what will I do?
What you will do depends some what on where we are going and what is the local protocols.
In Ethiopia for example ministers should be prepared to teach up to 60 minutes two times at the morning leaders conferences. You may only have 30 minutes and just get to speak once. Things are not always exactly as you expect them to be. Please be flexible. You may not get to speak as much as you would like, but I will make sure there is a place for you. This is also on a first come basis. You will teach through an interpreter, so cut your expected time in half. Avoid using illustrations that will not be relevant to the Ethiopian people and culture. The crowds vary from place to place from a few hundred to a few thousand.
The subject should be evangelism, local missions, reaching the lost, etc. You will speak with an interpreter. Avoid cliches and stories that are not culturally relevant. We hope to give each pastor an opportunity to greet the crusade or pray in the main meeting. This is subject to the direction of the crusade director and the Holy Spirit.
You will not get to preach one of the main services, but I will also try to make a place for you to share a very brief greeting on the main platform and pray for the sick one night.
Laymen should be prepared to share a brief greeting at the Leaders Meeting if they desire (no pressure). Otherwise they should be prepared to offer prayer support and help wherever needed. You may be asked to help with cameras, participate in dramas, etc.
All team members are invited to pray for the sick in the tent for the gravely ill.
This is our first trip to Pakistan and Lynda and I will be learning and adjusting as you will. All ministers can expect to speak in the Saturday conference.
Is it safe?
I have traveled all over the world and have almost always felt secure. That does not mean that something could happen and you should consider that any time you travel. Quite frankly I am more anxious about being in Chicago than Ethiopia.
Yet, you should always take care for your safety. Female travelers should never be alone and should never leave the group. I cannot emphasize this enough, ladies there are people in any where in the world that will hurt you. Do not, I repeat, do not ever, ever be alone.
Where will we stay?
Again, I will use Ethiopia as an example. When we arrive in Ethiopia, we will stay at a nice hotel in Addis Ababa. When we travel to the crusade city, our accommodations maybe very poor. It is our goal to reach people in areas where the gospel has seldom been preached. We may not have hot water and you may not have a comfortable bed. If that scares you, you shouldn't go. If you are an adventurer and concerned about lost souls you will not mind sacrificing your comforts for five days.
I expect the accommodations to be better in Pakistan but I try to never make promises I can't keep.
Will I like the food?
Maybe. Maybe not. You will be in a strange, new culture. Enjoy the experience. If you are afraid you will starve bring peanut butter.
Please be considerate, be honest and show some humility.
I am sorry if that sounds harsh. We have had people who wanted to join our team for a photo opportunity. When the returned to the states, though the website and social media posts they presented the false narrative that the crusade was about them and their ministry. Please don't do that. Give God all the glory and give credit where credit is due. You will be part of a team led by Larry and Lynda Martin please remember that when you fund raise and when you give reports back home. My first crusade was with Evangelist Daniel King and I have never told about the crusade without making clear it was his meeting and I was his guest. That meeting changed my life and ministry. I am glad I got to be part of it.
