December 31, 2020 - A Season of Sorrow

Three people very important to me passed in December. My sister-in-law Cindy was more a sister than an in-law. She and my brother Austin had been together for most of my life. She went to be with Jesus on the day we celebrate His birthday. I will never stop missing her.

Two of my greatest heroes also passed in December. Rev. Cecil Brown was my pastor when I was called to preach. I loved him dearly. Evangelist Charles Ogdon preached a revival in Comanche when Bro. Brown was the pastor and I was a teenager. God changed my life. Brother Ogdon was the best church evangelist I ever knew. Both of these great men have joined their companions in heaven but their influence will be missed on this earth.

December 24, 2020 - Wedding Bliss

On December 23, Lynda's daughter Lindsey was married to Justin Sandy at a beautiful ceremony in Houston. I had the pleasure of doing the honors and pray God's blessings on the coup le.

December 10, 2020 - On the Road Again

During November we preached at Lighthouse in Burkburnett, Texas. Lighthouse supports our harvest crusades every month. We are so thankful for our friends who support our missions work even during COVID when we can't travel overseas.

After Thanksgiving we took a long road trip preaching in Indiana, Illinois and Arkansas. We were with Pastor Michael Anderson in Washington, Indiana; Pastor Ken Wade in Casey, Illinois and Pastor Jenny Douglas in Wynne, Arkansas. I enjoyed preaching Christmas messages, something I don't always get to do. Thank God for his blessings! Thank God for Christmas.

While on our journey we stopped over in Missouri and enjoyed Lamberts with my boys.

November 10, 2020 - Elgin

It was good to feel good enough to preach again. We enjoyed being with our friends at First Assembly in Elgin, OK.

October 24, 2020 - Duncan Bethel - Good News and Bad News

It is hard to explain what a roller coaster the past three weeks have been. We had a special service at Bethel on October 6 and God came down. I mean he really came down. It was the kind of move of God we have been praying for. Especially the children and the young were touched.

Pastor Meador asked us to continue the services through Wednesday which we gladly did. The crowds were great, the altars were full.

It was obvious to continue the meetings the next week and that is what we planned to do. Out of the blue, we came under tremendous attack. People began to test positive for COVID, including Lynda and I. We had to cancel the revival and Pastor had to cancel all services. It has been so disappointing. Lynda has been pretty much asymptomatic but I have been pretty sick. Now, I am battling viral pneumonia becauseof the COVID. My daughter Summer has came to stay with us and she is sick. My brothers have both been sick but are recovering. Over twenty people in the church have tested positive please pray for all. Thank you.

September 27, 2020 - Burkburnett, TX

We had a great Sunday with Pastor Bobby Scott and his great congregation in Burkburnett, TX. We look forward to going back later in the year.

September 16, 2020 - Little Isaac

Lynda's son and daughter-in-law also came by for a visit with the grand babies. I got to meet young Isaac for the first time. He was born while I was on the mission to Burma earlier this year.

August 15, 2020 - Another New Book

I put the finishing touches on another new book in August. The little book is a common sense look at alcohol use among believers. I pray it will be a big help to those who question the wisdom of social drinking.

You can order a copy by visiting our Azusa Street website or just by following this link.

August 12, 2020 - Happy 68th Birthday

For my birthday this year, Lynda brought my kids to Duncan. It was so special of her. They didn't all actually make it on my actual birhday, but at least we were together. We had not all been together in six or seven years. It was great having fun, playing games and just relaxing with family.

August 8, 2020 - Friends

While in Tulsa, we caught up with some of greatest friends, campaign evangelists. It was wonderful to share a meal and fellowship with the families of Daniel King and Rubens Cunha. Both of these great man have made an impact on my life.

August 7, 2020 - 50 Years

We didn't travel much in August for ministry. But it was a busy month. We attended the Assemblies of God District Council near Tulsa and I received a gold pen for first receiving my credentials fifty years ago. I felt quite honored and thank Superintendent Frank Cargill for the presentation.

July 3, 2020 - Happy anniversary Lynda

It is hard to believe but we celebrated our fourth anniversary. I am so glad that God sent this beautiful lady into my life. She is such a perfect partner for this season of ministry. Since we are pretty well grounded these days, we didn't plan an anniversary trip. Instead, we stayed close to home and visited Mount Scott, Medicine Park and Meers. It was a great day. It is a great life!

June 30, 2020 - Elgin

Yesterday Lynda and I were in services in Elgin, Oklahoma at First Assembly of God. We always enjoy being with Pastor Larry Thoma and his wonderful people. We feel so right at home every time we are in Elgin.

June26, 2020 - Pentecostal Gold

Pentecostal Gold has been totally re launched.A wonderful young couple, Kyle and Paige Aleshire have totally revamped the site with a new design and new features. We are so excited about this resource.I truly believe this work may be most lasting contribution to the kingdom of God. If you haven't been there lately take a fresh look.

June 8, 2020 - San Antonio

All of our meetings in May were canceled because of the Coronavirus. In fact, most of our meetings for the summer have cancelled. We are not alarmed, God is in control. Lynda is enjoying the time at home working on her yard and I am busy writing and working on websites.

We were blessed to be at Bethel Covenant Assemblies of God in San Antonio on June 7. We had three powerful morning services. Pastor John Anemeke has a powerful growing church and it was an honor to be with him. He is also an oral surgeon and has been helping me with my on going problem with infection in my jaw. Pray with us for a complete recovery.

May 1, 2020 - A Brand New Book

Having some time at home has had its advantages. I wrote a new book about my fifty years on the gospel road. It is not an autobiography, it is short stories, just snippets from my life and experience. The response has been great. I hope you can get a copy and hope you enjoy it.

April 20, 2020 - Facebook Live

I was invited to preach the online service at Marlow First Assembly. It is really strange preaching to a bunch of empty pews but we had a great time and especially enjoyed the fellowship with Pastor Elwyn Rogers.

April 12, 2020 - He's Alive!!

We have been at home, following the stay at home orders since we were in Myanmar. All of our meetings have been cancelled but I have been staying busy. I reprinted the "Azusa Street Sermons" book and wrote a new book on my life experiences. For an evangellist, this staying at home is no picnic. lol.

The good new is, He is Alive! Thank God for Easter! The world was dark on Friday, but eveything changed on Sunday. This tells us that better days are ahead. I'm looking for them!

March 9, 2020 - Myanmar

What a wonderful time of ministry in Letpann Chawng, Myanmar (Burma). There were some challenges and some victories. On the day before our campaign was to begin the city president told the leaders we could not use the soccer field. This required us to move the meeting into a church.

Although I am sure we could have one better on the field, we had good crowds each night. It was not possible for me to keep track of conversions, but I am sure significantly more than 100 answered the invitation.

We also preached on Sunday morning in a small church in Kale. The Burmese are beautiful people inside and out and I am thankful that God opened these doors of ministry for me.

February 17, 2020 - Back to Texas

It seems most of our ministry these days is in Texas. That is ok with us, we love the Lone Star State. On February 9 we started a revival in Magnolia, Texas. This was the third meeting I have preached for Michael and Joan Colston. They are such great people and are so gracious to evangelists.

On the 16th we were deep in the Rio Grande Valley preaching in Roma, Texas. Bethel Mission Outreach Center is a bi-lingual church on the border with Mexico. The pastors are the daughter and son-in-law of the Colstons in Magnolia. We had a great time and a great altar service. It was funny, we were close enough to the Mexican border to spit across but we ate Chinese food for lunch. Something is wrong with that. lol.

February 5, 2020 - Let it Snow

Lynda loves to travel, but she REALLY enjoys being at home. We were so blessed to spend several day at home and to top it off, it came a good snow in Oklahoma. Nothing like resting by a fire and watching it snow.

January 28, 2020 - Recommended by a Friend

Our good friend, Dr. Doyle Jones went with us to Ethiopia. Dr. Jones is one of the leading Holy Spirit evangelists in the Assemblies of God. After we got home, he was kind enough to recommend our ministry on Facebook:

Dr. Larry Martin and his wife, Lynda Goetz Martin are very gifted and powerful ministers, engaged in soul-winning evangelism. Dr. Martin is one of the foremost Pentecostal historians. Having known them for a few years now and participating in their recent crusade in Ethiopia, I highly recommend their fruitful ministry. I'm thankful to be associated with a man and woman of God who preach the whole gospel which is accompanied by signs and wonders. Any church or organization would benefit from their ministry.

Thank you Dr. Doyle.

January 27, 2020 - North Texas

The Indianapolis meeting ended at noon on Saturday, I flew to Houston and Lynda and I drove to Denton to be at Journey Fellowship on Sunday. Journey is pastored by Scott Meador, the son of our pastors in Duncan. It was great to be at this exciting, growing church.

January 25, 2020 - Either Cold or Hot

I left warm Ethiopia and headed straight to Indianapolis where it was snowing! Culture shock! What a great time I had, though, at the Pentecostal Church of God Empowered Conference. The meeting was led by one of my former student, Randy Lawrence. Randy is the PCG national youth director and is such a talented young man.

It was also an honor to spend a little time with PCG General Bishop Wayman Ming. Wayman is doing a great job leading the denomination.

January 22, 2020 - Harvest Revival Ethiopia

What a great campaign! Our Gedo Harvest Revival Crusade is in the history books. As many as 22,000 were gathered on the field. 3600 took salvation booklets. Dozens were healed. Praise God for the privilege to work with the Joshua Campaign in Ethiopia and our American team, Bettina Dorsett, John Sullivan and Dr. Doyle Jones.

January 13, 2020

Lynda and I came early to Addis Ababa to preach in a local church. What a great opportunity to share the gospel in this great city.

January 11, 2020

We have arrived safely at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and checked into our hotel. Our team will join us on Tuesday and we will be off to Gedo for our first Harvest Revival Crusade of 2020.

January 9, 2020

Lynda and I love to start our new year at the Acts 6:4 Conference. What a great time to meet with friends old and new and enjoy the great worship, preaching and presence of the Lord. Thanks for our dear friend, Evangelist Jason Stidham for putting this great conference together each year.

January 6, 2020 - Arizona

Our first ministry of the new year was in Phoenix, AZ at North Valley Assembly of God. Pastors Scott and Debbie Thurber have an oasis in the desert. Praise God, several men received the baptism in the Holy Ghost. What a way to start 2020!
